If you only have ten minutes

Boracay, the Shangri La of the Philippines (1:12) is the most watched video we have published, and the reason is easy to spot. The white beach on Boracay runs four kilometres and is almost flat, and you only register that when the camera travels along it instead of standing still.

Son Doong, the world’s largest cave in Vietnam (1:10) is the opposite story. Fifty-four views in three years, and still the most improbable place in the entire library: the ceiling has collapsed in two places, light falls down through the holes, and a forest has grown up inside the cave.

The 20 regions of Italy, ready to travel? (4:54) is where to start if Italy is on the table and you have not decided where. Twenty regions in under five minutes sounds impossible, and that is exactly the point — you see the difference between Piedmont and Puglia faster than you can read your way to it.

The nature parks in Kenya (3:48) and Malta is a jewel in the Mediterranean (1:36) cover opposite ends of the scale, the wide open and the tightly packed. Both sit at the top of this page under featured videos.

And one outsider: Safest Airlines in the world (2:39) is not about a place at all, but about the question many people ask themselves and few ever look up. Only three videos in the library have been watched more often.

What the library holds

We have been producing and publishing travel videos since 2019. It has come to more than 330 of them and close to fifteen hours — from Son Doong in Vietnam, a cave so large that a forest has grown up on its floor, to Teahupo’o in Tahiti, where the wave breaks over a shallow coral reef and became an Olympic arena in 2024.

Food and wine is the largest single category with 39 videos. Then come ski holidays with 19, adventure with 10, and sports and nature travel with 9 each. Geographically the weight sits in Europe — Italy and Spain have the most, then France, Germany, Greece and Norway — and the USA is the only country outside Europe near the top. The oldest video is from March 2019, the newest from June 2026.

Beyond that it spreads thinner: Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Kenya, Morocco, Tahiti. The filters only list destinations that actually have a video behind them — if a country is not on the list, we have not covered it yet.

The videos are short. The median runs a little over two minutes, and the longest — a run through ski areas from Austria and France to Whistler in Canada — lasts fourteen. They are made to give you a feel for a place rather than to replace a guide, and they work best when you already have somewhere in mind and want to see what it looks like.

Two clusters carry the weight: skiing and food

Nineteen videos deal with skiing, and they reach past the usual alpine valleys: Livigno in Italy, Engelberg in Switzerland, Åre in Sweden, the Canadian Rockies, and one on skiing in Germany. A single one runs through twelve European ski destinations in a row, from Austria to Åre, which is worth five minutes if the choice is still open between several places.

Food and wine is larger still at 39 videos, and the weight sits in the glass rather than on the plate. The Italian wine districts from north to south, Brunello and Barolo and ten in between, the great French regions, the American wines — and one on why red wine so often works with fish, which is the opposite of what most people were taught.

The videos are in English, made for TravelTalk’s international channel. Nothing has been dubbed or machine-translated in either direction, because an automatic subtitle is worse than no subtitle at all.
